Bridge Street – Parking and Emergency Vehicle Access
To consider concerns raised by residents regarding parking at the entrance to Bridge Street which may impede emergency vehicle access. Residents have previously raised the matter with Powys County Council Highways and have been advised to refer the concerns to the Town Council.
Decision required: To consider whether to support a request to Powys County Council Highways for appropriate parking restrictions or other measures to maintain access
To review the proposed wayleave agreement relating to the installation and operation of EV charging points which require electrical supply for the substation from the existing pole on Cae Bodfach.
Decision required: To approve the wayleave agreement and authorise the Town Clerk to progress the necessary arrangements.
To consider and agree arrangements for upcoming Town Council events:
a) Christmas Events – to agree the approach, organisation and management of the 2026 Christmas events, including whether any temporary road closures are required.
Decision required: To agree the event arrangements and whether to apply for temporary road closures.
b) St Myllin’s Day – to agree the proposed date, arrangements and funding of the St Myllins Day Event.
Decision required: To agree the event date of 19th June 2027, agree funding and organisational arrangements.
To receive updates on the two projects being delivered through Pride in Place grant funding:
a) Cae Bodfach Activity Play Park – update from the Town Clerk, including drainage and site clearance works required to enable installation.
Decision required: To approve funding for the necessary drainage and clearance works.
b) Public Toilet Refurbishment – update from Cllr Allan on progress with the refurbishment project.
To receive an update on the proposed Community Asset Transfer of the Market Square
To consider whether the Council wishes to proceed with the Community Asset Transfer on the basis of the area currently offered by Powys County Council.
Decision required: To agree whether to proceed with the Community Asset Transfer and, if agreed, authorise the Town Clerk to progress the necessary legal arrangements.
To receive an update on work undertaken towards the development of a management plan for Cae Bodfach and to consider the papers and proposals submitted to date, including:
- proposed short-term actions;
- proposed approach to community engagement;
- draft resident feedback questionnaire; and
- Cae Bodfach overview and current developments paper.
To consider how the material submitted contributes to the Council's original requirement for a management plan and agree the next steps required to complete that work.
Decision required: To determine which elements, if any, should inform the development of the management plan; agree the approach to community engagement and consultation; consider any proposed immediate actions; and confirm the next steps and timescale for preparation of a draft management plan for formal Council consideration.
